Charlie Merritt is a Marine Corps veteran, entrepreneur, speaker, adaptive-technology advocate, gamer, traveler, and founder of QuadCapable. After a 2014 spinal cord injury left him a C3 quadriplegic, he rebuilt his life around technology, systems, relationships, and the belief that independence is about creating more choices—not doing everything alone.

Charlie Merritt is a Marine Corps veteran, entrepreneur, speaker, adaptive-technology advocate, gamer, traveler, and founder of QuadCapable. After a 2014 diving accident caused a C3 spinal cord injury, nearly every ordinary part of life had to be redesigned—from breathing, communication and caregiving to transportation, work, travel and recreation.
QuadCapable grew out of that rebuilding process. Charlie uses lived experience, assistive technology, adaptive gaming, business development, nonprofit leadership, advocacy and public storytelling to make the practical side of life with paralysis more visible. His work has included media appearances, adaptive-technology demonstrations, veteran and disability organizations, accessible travel, speaking, and hands-on evaluation of tools intended to increase independence.
